A Fast Verification Workflow (Topic 1) in Module 3 – Use-AI-Safely-Effectively (BG)

A Fast Verification Workflow

Verification does not have to be heavy. For most day-to-day uses, a simple workflow is enough:

  1. Read for obvious errors - names, numbers, claims, and contradictions
  2. Check the important parts - verify the few points that matter most
  3. Compare against source material - use the original document, policy, or trusted reference
  4. Apply your own judgment - ask whether the answer is appropriate for the real context

Verify proportionally

Not every output deserves the same level of scrutiny. A grocery list draft is different from a client memo. The higher the impact, the stronger the review.

Make verification visible

When possible, ask the model to list assumptions, uncertainties, or open questions. This makes review faster because you know where to focus.
